Into the Grizzly Maze follows two brothers as they’re stalked by a bear. But it’s not exactly The Revenant. This movie seems to believe bears possess almost-supernatural levels of cognition, manipulation and stealth, as this particular bear constantly eludes trace or capture. Later on, it even proves itself impervious to fire. As with many horror films, frequently delve deeper and put themselves into increasing peril, rather than just doing something sensible like turning around and leaving the dangerous place. There’s some strange background plot thrown in about drug deals and covered up murders, but it’s so inconsequential that the characters would fare better if they just spent their non-action scenes sitting in resolute silence. This is not a maze worth getting lost in for long.
